Tour in the Sacred Valley 1 day visits: Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero
This tour starts at approximately 08:00 hrs. and ends at 19:00 hrs., we pick you up at your hotel, to have a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, on the Vilcanota River, for a panoramic view of the Inca citadel of Pisac and a visit to the typical Indian market of Pisac.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: Tour in the Sacred Valley, Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero
Pisac
The archaeological complex of Pisac is situated on top of a mountain overlooking a large part of the Sacred Valley. This wonderful place is made up of groups of terraces and architectural structures scattered on the slopes and on top of the mountain. Pisac is one of the most beautiful monumental centres in the valley as it combines the landscape with the impeccable finish of its buildings.
Ollantaytambo
Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon we visit the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions by the inhabitants of the jungle. We will have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the town and thus have a clear idea of what this military, religious and cultural center was like during the Inca Empire.
Chinchero
On the way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui are located. You will admire its well-preserved Inca Wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca building. Transfer to your hotel.
