DESCRIPTION
At the top of the mountain, large and impressive blocks of stone joined together without any amalgamation make up one of the most important religious, political and cultural centers of the Inca Empire: Machu Picchu.
Discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, the Inca City is divided into two large sectors: the agricultural one, with a vast network of artificial terraces, and the urban one, with beautiful buildings such as the Temple of the Sun.
Its deep green terraces and the imposing mountain range that surrounds it create a beautiful landscape that exceeds all expectations.
Machu Picchu is today a World Heritage Site and the pride of Peru.
Attention:
You must be at least one day before the start date in the city of Cusco, located 1200 km south-east of Lima (Peru). Machu Picchu can be visited by rail (trains) and by walking along the ancient «Inca Trail» in two or four days. On this tour we will use the train service.

DAY 1: CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU
Depending on the time of entry to Machu Picchu, (these times can be seen in the Useful Information option on our website) we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the train departure point and head to the town of Aguas Calientes where our guide will be waiting for you, to direct you to the bus up to the Llacta Machu Picchu
It includes a guided tour of the citadel, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Our tour will last approximately two hours.
